Ralph Breaks the Internet
A worthy sequel that was laugh out loud funny especially in its portrayal of the internet, but ultimately it lacked the heart of the first instalment. Nonetheless, the Disney princesses sequences (yes, there are two) were absolute standouts and the best moments from both films. It was great that Disney got the original stars back to voice the Princesses. In addition, the main voice cast was ace, with John C Reilly and Sarah Silverman back and also the new spot-on additions of Taraji P. Henson, Bill Hader, Alfred Molina and Alan Tudyk in a new role. Gal Gadot, on the other hand, might have been a bit miscast. The animation itself did not stand out much, unlike “Spiderverse”, but it was a clear improvement over “Wreck-It Ralph”. Not sure where else the story can go if a three-quel is made, but I would not be surprised if Disney keeps on milking the franchise a lá “Toy Story”. Stay till the end to be Rickrolled. Lol.
